btw confirmed but if you have a sideblog with a s.av.ed u/rl for any reason and you delete it hoping to free up the url for yourself you’re out of luck
tumblr now destroys the url, rendering it unusable. i’ve lost two urls to this and honestly i’m Tired
long story short: change the url to keysmash or whatever, then delete
